When I started this blog, I wanted a place to enter other blogs giveaways and tell you about it without using Mommy Has to Work. I also wanted to post some fun reviews here. It's a bit much for me right now to keep up with both blogs, so while I'm not closing this one, I may not get to it often. Maybe after the holidays.

Finn on the Fly - Movie Review

We try to do a movie night on Saturdays. During the summer , our schedule has been a little off. Recently though, we watched Finn in the Fly. What a great family movie. There are no big actors, well none that I recognized, but that doesn't matter. We all enjoyed this movie, especially my 9 year old son.



It's about a new family in the neighborhood and their dog. The dog accidentally eats a potion from the crazy scientist next door. It turns the dog into a man! And then the story goes on from there. If you get a chance, rent it, you and your kids will enjoy it. It is rated PG.




The movie was given to me for review purposes, the opinions are mine alone.

The Daughter-in-Law Rules - Book Review and Giveaway

I was able to review The Daughter-in-Law Rules: 101 surefire ways to make friends with your mother-in-law. What a fun little book ( yes, it is little, 3x4)! This book is one of those laugh out loud books. In it you will find great advice on how to be the perfect daughter-in-law. A must buy for bridal showers! A good rule to follow - Don't forget your MIL for Mother's Day!!


Some tips included in the book
- call your MIL "mom"
- ask your MIL for her advice
- keep your gifts from MIL for at least a year!
( you never know when you'll be asked to produce said gift! LOL )
- don't criticize your husband around your MIL (I never criticize my husband, ahem)
- always empty the fridge before MIL come to visit.

Artur Leave in Conditioner Review

I was able to review a new leave-in conditioner called Artur Smooth-e Lite, through The Fabulous Finds.

I always use some sort of leave - in conditioner. my hair is terrible to blow dry and brush with out it. To be able to review was great for me. I was weary about using something new. I've been using the same thing for years. But I liked it. After I wash it , I spray it on my hair directly and then brush as normal.

The Smooth-e Lite is paraban free and doesn't weigh my hair down like some others. It also helps detangle the hair. I sometimes use it on my daughter's hair too.
